How is the Life Path calculated by date of birth?
Every digit of your birth date is summed, then the total is reduced digit by digit until a single number remains — unless the reduction passes through 11, 22, or 33, which are kept as master numbers. This calculator shows you each step, so you can check the arithmetic yourself.
What are master numbers?
11, 22, and 33 are treated as complete numbers in Pythagorean numerology, not reduced further — traditionally read as a higher-voltage version of their root (11 of 2, 22 of 4, 33 of 6): more potential, more tension. If your date reduces through one, this calculator preserves it and says so.
Does my name change my Life Path?
No — the Life Path is purely date-derived. Your name feeds different numbers: Expression, Soul Urge, and Personality. If you want the name side of the system, the name numerology calculator computes those.
Is this like a zodiac sign?
Different granularity, different math. A sun sign is shared by everyone born in the same month-long window; the Life Path comes from your exact date arithmetic, so two people a day apart can carry different numbers. Neither predicts anything — both are lenses for reflection.
